A collection of beginner-friendly DevOps content

Overview

mansion

Mansion is just a testing repo for learners to commit into open source project.

These are the steps you need to learn:

  1. Please do not edit these texts. If you wish to edit, please start at EDIT_ME section

  2. Study the structures of a some opensource repo like: rails/rails flask awesome python

Look out for the type of files available in their repo and why they are there.

  1. Some of the basic files to be included are LICENCE.md, README.md, CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md

  2. ONLY Submit content relating to Python or DevOps into this mansion repo. You can take inspiration from ACG, Class summary or anything good from stackoverflow, github or duckduckgo.

Good luck.

    Update README.md

    Hi Team,

I have updated the Readme.md. Here are the details and reasons:

    • I have created a Docker title for further enhancement
    • Since we have touch on every programming language and tools. Why not elaborate a little more on dockers
    • What I did was, removing sub link docker from DevOps blogs and transfer to the new title Docker
    • I have also created a sub link under Azure for future DevOps who want to know about Azure path certification

Hope it can be approved :)

  • Merge branch 1-0-stable and open a new branch.

Merge branch 1-0-stable and open a new branch.

Somebody got to take the scissor and do a cut. The branch has over 31 commits ahead. Merge existing PR. Pause the pull requests. Do a merge. I prefer someone who has no experience to do it. maybe @hadibolehjadi or @shankjs or @ReubenChan

Once you are done with merging, please branch out a 1-1-stable and continue from there.

  • Decide to use this repo or to use the new repo

Decide to use this repo or to use the new repo

We can either use this repo by renaming it to devops-resources (easy)

or we can plan to commit things in the new repo.

The latter will start from the beginning with no history. The former has some git history that may not be perfect. I'm cool with both approaches.

    Update README.md

    Hi Guys,

    I have updated the readme.md.

    The update is Microsoft-azure-certification-path 2021

    Reason:

    • A direction for us future DevOps to take important steps in accomplishing our certificate goals
    • Choose the one which suits us based on our level of expertise and background

  • Discuss: Maintainability of mansion

    Discuss: Maintainability of mansion

Problem: As more links are added to this repo, the README.md file will be longer.

Solution: Follow the structure of Stack on a budget

README.md is basically a TOC (Table of Contents) and each category has a Markdown file under pages folder.

There will also be fewer merge conflicts if more people contribute to different categories.
